It's been awhile since i've update this blog of mine... and to my surprise it's been a month and counting... i apologize... i will ensure that the pics are gonna be up and all as welll yes i still do remember my promise... and i've been to a number of places in germany and i will highly recommend them for your future sweet holidays!

Good day again, it's me reporting from germany!!! well the weekend was great and all and today is another working day... yes i am back at work after a wonderful week at home rest and not forgetting this week is happy holiday week!!! working for only 4 day. I am kinda busy for the moment of time with work and planning pilling like noone's business and i am having a huge resposibility for a pretty big project. I hope everything will turn out fine. Khaf My apologies that the current blog is not gonna be like the usual one... typing it in the middle of my break before the next meeting starts. I promise to write and include pics PROMISE! cheers all.

Again it was a hetic day yesterday that i didn't get the chance to update my daily happening in germany, I went to the bank again yesterday... yes the bank again and this time it was so much better that the previous encounter it was quick and i didnt have to wait for more that 2 hrs to get my accounts done... I then went to this siemens shop that sells nothing but siemens dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and tonnes of other siemens products... you name it they have it, i was there with my supervisor and we went browsing and deciding wat to get and wat not to get after much thoughs we decided not to get anything :) save $$ but wait for what about to happen!

I was back at the office by 1030 am and was doing some coding when the other department came over requesting some help i tried to crack the application as the application require some specific dlls to be loaded before it can actually churn out the report that is to be inserted to the database, something about application that are tied to other application resource that i hate is that versioning, it seems that versioning can caused tonnes of problems especially when the application that is tied to keeps changing ever. This is frustration to me.... But well it a job that i have to get it done! anyway i've not managed to solve the problem and i am still looking into it and the most frustrating part is that i cant seem to find any help online... time to call Mr bill....

Work ended slightly early yesterday as i made my way to the big town with the guys, we visited the terracotta soldiers, christmas market and of course how can i forget dinner at a beautiful steak house. The journey there was short but was full of beautiful scenery that i can never have in singapore, in singapore we have high class living and here the high class living is totally different even the apotheke is different... it's pharmacy :P ok back to my story The terracotta warriors or soldiers were fantastic and it signify the emperor who created the great wall of china and surprisingly one of my colleague who is interested about china and it's beauty know so much about it that i felt embarass as i'm an asian who dont know much about it at all... well that's it i would say.

We then went to the christmas market, from the christmas market it's a huge fun fair that we are currently having in orchard road, the difference the fair here is about food sovenior and tonnes of alcohol and it's the steamed alcohol pretty cool eh... anyway my supervisor was here to look for a solar windmill a gift for some of the relatives back home and so he bought 2 of the solar windmill that cost over 160 sing dollars... oh man! but anyway that's a gift it has to come from the heart.

Dinner was next and it was fantastic, we had this choice of salad that was more variety that then have even at ponderosa!! can you beat that! i cant definately not! and its fantastic! and it's healthy, i have 200g of salmon by the end of dinner i was so full like i had a buffet in singapore! and i can't seem to walk, the weather last nite didnt help either it was cold! and i meant dead cold and there wind!! add 2 and 2 together you have disaster!

We were approached by 2 gals looking very hungry for an Italian restaurant, my german colleague directed them and showed them around to the italian restaurant, they look young but similar to the minahs that singapore has, he told us that they stayed at a posh hotel but looking for pizza and get this pizza is a low class food here!! can you beat that, for me i eat pizza and i love them! i cant live without them at all! so i ignored his comments..

well that's all from yesterday, i will try again to input events from today which can be very very little and not substantial, and of course khaf i remember the picture will post them later today...

I skipped yesterday due to a very tight schedule and it was quite a hectic day, i am glad that it over foooh~

I went to the german factory yesterday where we're(me and my partner) suppose to investigate a problem with one of the application that was installed and test a new product it failed and causing production stand still. We were lucky the problem was pretty easy to be rectify and it was done in a matter of minutes, Once done we were invited to the office for where an intern student was asked to assist us in our requirement, a greenhorn who looks young but turn out be a year older was trying to burn a cd for us unsuccessfully! We sat and chatted with him for the next 2 hours and were invited to have cheese cake too... home made beautiful cheese cake! and it was good! it's superb! Day went well i pressume but it was too early to assume it i suppose!

I was suppose to go to the bank and open a current account for the $$ to be transfered in and hearing for a colleague that it would be easy i went and hoping that the beautiful day will end beautiful.... At the bank i was greeted by this nice married german lady assisting us with our required request. She was able to speak a little english but it was ok i was able to understand her speech and requirement but however when it come to explanation of the various accounts and details, she was being too restrictive and not helpful at all, ended that i have to speak to my delegate agent and she was laughing at me on the other side of the phone! what a disappointment! She spoke to the lady at the bank and yet the lady was being adamant about the bank policy and refuse to change her point!

I decide to meet my delegate agent and collect the letter to inform them of my allowance status, it's embarassing to be told your income is not sufficient for a card. I went over and she was busy trying to clear her work before her leave for christmas and after walking and i mean it for 30 mins all i got there was another number to call to clarify the issue it's frustrating! i mean she could just called me in the office to inform me of the issue and that was it now i have to be in her office so that she could tell me! damn... wat a day it turn out to be... when i told my colleagues they laugh and said "She just wanna see you before she leaves!" damn...

Anyway got home cook dinner watch the last episode of sex and the city, it was good no filter of nudity!!! and i think i am able to understand german here and there... That's it for yesterday.. today it will be great i hope i am waiting for the meeting to starts and once it starts i will be dooom cos it's lots of chat chat chat and more chat! so till tomorrow!

I have been reading other blogger's blogs and i realise that they have such a meaningful name for the title and they blog what their title represents! for me it doesnt seem to be that's the case cos i talk about my life and of course different cultures that i love to adapt! ya rite...

Anyway something about technical now if you really want it, I was reading on sybase database and i realise that oracle, sybase, sap and some of the free database have now already their .Net library and ready for .Net development. This is cool no more just SQL Server and we can make more money with cheaper suites! I was speaking on behalf of the free lancer.

I realise that developing application takes a lot of patience and you need enough rest otherwise you will be so tired and never be awake to watch or even read the documentation that you have prepared all this while! This is bad as ever since i started at this company i cant seem to hold my eyes wide awake as it will be sleepy by the time the clock strike 230... and i will start to count down till the time i can leave office!! I find this behaviour totally unprofessional and i need to buck up but i cant seem to do it at all... oh some one pls help!!!!

Ok i am gonna have fried rice cake tonite with eggs and some shreaded coconut and of course how can i for get salmon! so khaf... i am eating well and you should too... dont worry but i am managing very well if you dont believe look at moi face now... it's so tembam.

ok i know the only person reading this will probably be my girlfriend and me or it could just be me... but heck i just love pretending talking to tonnes of people... nite all tomorrow you'll read again. ta.

yes i'm in office but this time is just to browse the web and no more work! just pure pleasure... the weather is chill and its -1 here currently... honestly dont ever buy any winter stuff from singapore as it may not be sufficient! but overall it's ok... i am begining to enjoy life and yes i was asleep later than expected and of course i was so tired i slept with the television on!

Food came yesterday as reported and i had a feast of keropok and fisch finger sandwich and i was full at the rate i am going i think i will loose tonnes of weight but easy does it! i went to town last nite and the town is quite fine i would say for now all the stuff there are pretty cool and it's so cosy that's wat i love about it nothing beats the atmosphere of the towns when you are abroad and they have marche here!! yes i know i love the rossti and i cant have it here but i am planning to get some from the supermarket soon.

i bought the prepaid card from this mobile shop and with confidence i went home eager to get the new stuff to work... to my suprise! i dont understand the damn instructions at all... so thinking that i am intelligent, i switch the sim cards and tried to use the new line that i got... guess wat it requested for the pin! and i panicked! i search the entire package for the pin and i cant find it at all... in a moment of desperate, i open the apartment window as i am staying on the ground floor and tried to stop passer by for assistant with the trouble i have. I first stop a japanese man, feeling confident of his german he tried to help me... and after much tries, he profest that his german was bad... well nice try... then i carried on to ask for help then came this uni student on a bike as he swoosh by he said "Hallo" and i said "Hallo" back then he swooshed by before i said i need help... and then he came over and said oh ok... he pointed to the letter that came with the sim card and said the sim pins are all here... which is true... i then realize that i was an ass for not looking carefully! from where i am i was able to read instructions here nada! i learn something from this... even when you dont know anything here.... try to use your other sense of intelligence otherwise you make yourself look like an idiot!

ok this will be the last blog for this week as i am gonna hit my first weekend in germany and there is freedom!! i will party like mad.... ya rite... it's 4 pm and i am 1 and a half hours from my knock off time but i am so drain i can describe how bad it is at the moment. I dont understand why the system in me just shuts itselfs down and wat's left is just the zombiefied person on the outside! and this person wanna go home and rest! and thats the truth.

Anyway had a short miscommunication with my colleague again!! damn nuqman's communication skill is going down the drain but i believe this is really my fault as i am not so on when it comes to friday... friday is the day that comes before saturday and to enjoy saturday you have to start your mood on friday... like how the working mood come to you on sunday that you will sigh before going to bed and work on a monday rite! so it's the same thing. Well it's ok for now we're talk and he's smiling and talking nonsence again so things are ok! i do hope that i will be able to get more stuff done and it's frustrating cos there are lots and i mean lots of red tape around me... no computer no database no software and it's so different here as compared home... home i can just download and go to work and install it here... there are protocol babes... but it's good learning something neew!!

My food stuff "cargoed" came today and after much calculation i realise that the food will be sufficient to last me the entire trip! there goes Mr Rich and hungry man... i was looking at myself in the mirror compare with mayor arnold... thats coming soon and i will try to have my weight below 100 currently it's tipping the scale at 109... mission new year loose 2 kg to 107! and then more and more will come... no more rubbish and late nite snack but more healthy food such as salad and salmon and more greens and less of the meat for now!!

khaf i am ok and i will try to weight times 1.5 of yours ok.. cos i know lah i am too heavy that you complaint always... anyway no worries...
